"Rattle in transmission."

"Good day I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, 4L, 6 cylinder. I have a sound that sounds like a bearing screaming/grinding when I start her, and put her into drive or reverse. This only happens when she is cold and the gear-box is in gear. The sound is louder in reverse, than in drive. I also notice that she makes the same sound, when in her final gear on the highway. I am not sure what the problem is, and if a overhaul is going to fix it. I ma planning on going away in October, and would prefer to have this problem sorted by then. Any idea what the problem could be?"
