"About three weeks ago my clutch gave in whilst on the Freeway. I managed to drive home in 4wd and about two weeks ago had the clutch replaced. All went well, gears shift in and out normally except that the vehicle will not shift out of 4wd. We have checked everything visible including the transfer case. When changing the mode from 4wd to 2wd the dashboard lights show the change and apparently this is also visible on the transfer case dial. I have just taken the vehicle into a reputable company and in their estimation the costs could mount up to R22K some thing that I cannot afford. All I would like to do I have a diagnostic check done and perhaps the error code is till being registered and can be deleted. Can anyone out there please give me an honest opinion and quote fro diagnostics. I can only drive at 20km as you will understand an hour so I am not willing to chance anything outside a radius of 10km from my location. Thank you"
