UNPROFESIONAL CONDUCT, GREEDINESS - Bamanye May, 2020 On the morning of 7 May 2020 I took my vehicle to DN Automotive for repairs at 9H00AM. I was welcome by David owner of the business. Upon booking the vehicle he committed that he will check the vehicle and revert back to me with a Qoute before end of business. The day Yes the client did bring in his vehicle like he said. On aravel I did inform him that we are short of staff as for the lock down only allowed 2 workers to be present. Were bi I had to do the work as well as order parts and do admin. He did say he was not to much in a hurry. On inspecting the vehicle I did find that there was major engine damage were by I did inform the client. He ask for a detailed quote, were by I informed he that I await the prices from the part suppliers. When I asked him If he owed money on the vehicle it was to determent whether he could make a lone for the repairs from the bank as for he did inform me that he did not have money and that COVIT have hurt him financially. As for I was concern if I fix the vehicle and he do not have money to pay me it will put me in a financial dilemma. As for me saying that I will buy the car from him like I have told him numerus times was just a jock for he was stressing on were he was going to get the money to pay for the repairs. I am always here and willing to help my clients. If he feel that I have treated him wrong like I have said to him I apologise profoundly. I was trying to make light of the situation. For all of us have been going through lock down and lost a lot. I do not see the need for him to go to social media and why he can not be human and let us sort things out man to man. ps. On the morning of 7 May 2020 I took my vehicle to DN Automotive for repairs at 9H00AM. I was welcome by David owner of the business. Upon booking the vehicle he committed that he will check the vehicle and revert back to me with a Qoute before end of business. The day ended without getting back to me. I decided to give him a day and not call emmidiately. On the 8 May 2020 morning around 11H00am David called me. I was relieved thinking finally I am getting a quotation and dignosis on my vehicle. To my shock David call to find out ''YOUNG MAN TELL ME DO YOU STILL OWE THE BANK ON THIS VEHICLE'?. I was very shocked at this crude QUESTION and i responded reluctantly ...No David I do not owe. David went further " Ok I think I have found the problem BUT IT IS GOING TO COST A LOT OF MONEY YOUNG MAN". I asked DAvid did you send the quotation. He said No. I asked How much do you think, He said between R15000 - R17000. I said ok send me a quotation. I will send you a quotation before end of the day. I did not here from David again untill the afternoon. I decided to call him to ask if he managed to send quotation. He responded he still awaiting parts quotation and he will send soon. To my shock David had lot more surprises. He asked me " WHY DONT YOU SELL ME YOUR CAR"? I was very shocked and irritated and I lost trust completely on David. On the 9th May 2020, I called David to find out progress on the quotation and again David was still working on the quotation he had not finished. At this time I completely lost trust on David and his unprofessional conduct. I decided to call him immediately to inform him that He must not touch the car I will be coming to fetch the car. He said WHY? I told him do not trust him with my car anymore, he has been very unprofessional and he never delivered on all his promises. For three days he had the car and failed to QUOTE. David indicated that I must come in the next 2 hours. I suspected that he is up to something and I came in about one hour. When I arrived David has decided to do a shoddy job, stripped the car to cover and remove plugs. For this work he Quoted R1564.00. It was very clear that David did this work in past 30min and was desperate to charge. The Owner of DN Automotive 25 King Edward St, Newton Park, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa demostrated very unprofessional conduct and conducts his business like a crook. Be warned.
