Car went in for repairs for head gasket, new piston rings and big end bearings. Mechanic ended up crushing wires which control DME between tappet cover and head which then caused more electronic issues and i had to fork out more money. I was then told I need to replace VVT motor which I did , mechanic was so convinced it was the issue he put both his car on the line. He thus came back and told me all codes were clear. I called him and he stated i can come collect anytime which i then did. Upon arrival I then get told oh yes the code for valvetronic is back which he could of said on the phone. At this point in time i just needed to get the car away from him which i then did. I got home to find he also bumped/scratched my car and also messed some sort of glue on the passenger side if the vehicle causing damage to the paint. The next morning i start the car up to move it out the garage to give it a wash and all the fault codes he was supposed to fix weeks back have popped up and the car is still leaking oil. (Please note that the day I left his "workshop" he messaged me to say "Remember I haven't really driven the car for 50km like i usually do", but why then say i can come collect if you haven't done that? I then decided to take the vehicle to a specialist, to find out he used certain parts which he stated to me where made by engineers for my vehicle, to find out he used my old broken ones and or ones that were not even for my vehicle. The specialist even came back to state the car wasn't timed correctly. I had to also get police assistance as he would not give me y reusable parts because i refused to pay him the outstanding money, which i don't think any logical person would do after all the damage caused, he also is taking no responsibility for the codes coming back which in essence is due to the fact he didn't do it correctly. He stated the job would take 2 to 3 weeks and i ended up getting my broken car back from him 2 months later. I am currently busy with lawyers to claim the damages he has caused to my vehicle however he is not taking their calls however the next necessary step has been put in place and we will go from there. I would definitely not recommend taking your car here.
