Firstly, I heard a whining noise upon acceleration. Secondly, I noticed oil in the water, but didn't suspect gearbox oil. Then after several weeks, my car displayed "Gearbox malfunction, Reverse gear is not available" whilst I was driving. When I attempted to accelerate, the revs increased but the speed did not. Upon stopping, Only 'D' displayed instead of 'D1'. I had to switch off the car and restart every time I wanted 'D1'. The car only moved with a judder upon high revs, but would immediately switch to 'D2' and moved in a jerky fashion. It would change from 'D2' to 'D4' with a huge lack in power. Acceleration only increased revs. Pulling away from standstill was a real struggle as only revs increased.
