When starting up the car, there is a loud crank which later dies down whilst the engine is heating up. Also, the car sputters when accelerating, the engine also sounds like a diesel engine when the car is in gear, but the sound disappears when the gears are in neutral. I also noticed that the car is consuming a lot of water, I had the radiator replaced, but that did not solve the problem.
