Add any further information that will be useful here. If you're not sure what's wrong, don't worry! Just describe the problem as best you can.
The car had a head set gasket replaced recently. Car wasn't driving by then, it had to be towed to the workshop. Now it makes a crankling noise but will just not pick up the power. However later on I realised that the mechanic did not have the diagnosis machine with the software suitable for my kind of a car hence we are unable of detecting these errors if they can be cleared or not. As such car isn't driving still at the workshop. I need a mechanic who can come through in PTA CBD to properly diagnose the car, reset and clear error codes. They must also have a software suitable for my car and updated as it will defeat the purpose to have a machine that can't tell us in detail the problem. I'm also not prepared to have the car towed anywhere else at this stage instead I would want someone coming out to check the car so as to avoid unnecessary towing costs. Maybe once the car has been diagnosed and I know what I'm faced with (cost wise). Prior to the incident on the dashboard it reported: Something about the oil engine being faulty; Air pollution faulty And not sure if that would have had any contribution to the failure. Something about rear light faulty too Car would drive but almost feel like it had no power at all like slow down real bad almost like it was cutting but doesn't. The current Machanic now says it's the compression that the car lacks but with the thorough diagnosis will we know for certain. Can I please only have responses related to my listed problem and not those that convince me to tow the car out as I have mentioned it's not an option at this stage. Looking forward for anyone with experience in French cars.
