Hello, I have an Audi Q7 3.0 V6 TDI - 2007 model, which is stuck and would like you to possibly come see it tomorrow - 2018/06/01. I am in Morningside Manor, Sandton and the Audi Q7, after parking and leaving for 2 days, when key is inserted, the MMI comes on, and the bottom computer section (Time, Total KM's) come on, radio works, windows work, etc. The warning lights do not come on, so the ECU and checks are not starting. The steering is locked and the automatic gear lever is stuck in PARK. The engine does nothing when key is fully turned, and the MMI opens on CAR section, where i can only select battery level and service interval. We did try change the engine fuse box fuses, all of them, change the keyfob battery as well as disconnect the battery for 12 hours, which i then attached my Honda Civic's jumpers to engine bay jump points to rule out faulty battery and car does nothing. From what i have read up, and found, it could be the keyfob needs recoding with the immobilizer, which an OBD tool that supports the Audi protocols can do, or it could just need a error code log clear, since i see a few people have had this fix the same problem. So, do you have a mechanic who would come to me, or do you know of someone who could?? CAR DOES NOT MOVE.
